4. FSB should be paid. Period. I agree.
7. The mythical 4 hours was to push. 3 to show. 2:30 was a concession, but not a huge one.

The rest, either I like, or it is due to incompetence. I like being "rolled" into another hour of pay for another short call, after only sitting short call for 2 hours. Honest to god, it is my favorite. I go to be at night hoping to be "rolled" the next day. "Rolled" means I sat short call for 2 hours, then get the rest of the day off, and got paid an hour. Who wouldn't love that?

The unpredictability and incompetence. Yeah, I agree. Section 6 won't fix that. Personally I wish they would figure out how to pay me correctly first.

Most of what you wrote you don't like, I do like. So do almost all the other pilots I fly with.

I flew every lUAL reserve system since 1995. This is the best.

As far as the screw desk, I would say lUAL's were far bigger f%$#king liars than the current ones. Perhaps more competent in the past, but more out to get you as well.

As you well know, he pieces move a lot in this game. Perhaps you might want to take the wide angle view and consider those inhaling beyond your olfactory. I've spent a ton to time on reserve, on both the good side and the bad. Its not always so easy and stress free.

As it now stands, you have the bull by the twins. Congrats. Not all are so lucky or will remain so. I hope the remainder of your career is equally gilded.

And I hope the Pats kick the Broncos a$$es.
Not a chance. I bet money on the Pats, insuring their defeat.

Jsled:

Pretty stupid to announce on a public forum that you will be drinking beer while on reserve status.

FOM 1.90.4

Pilots are prohibited from consuming alcohol:

• When traveling as a jumpseater, whether occupying a seat on the flight deck or in the cabin or if entering/leaving the flight deck while in flight.

• Anytime while on duty and for eight (8) hours prior to reporting for duty. “Duty” includes all of the following:

– All flights

– While on Reserve status

– Any simulator or fixed base training event, whether conducting or receiving the training/evaluating

– Any formal training in the classroom or non-flight training device (e.g., door trainer)

– Deadheading home or to a layover, unless the following conditions are met:

♦ Out of uniform.

♦ The flight is airborne.

♦ If a line-holder, is not scheduled to fly for at least 12 hours after arrival.

While I do appreciate your concern, check out 20-K-5-c. It pays to know your contract.

Is it your last day on? Your post did not indicate that.

20-K-5-c A Long Call Reserve is released at 1000 on his last day of reserve if the next day is an RDO, HDO or VDO and at 1500 on his last day of reserve if the next day is an FDO or CDO, provided no assignment has been made by those times.
