Perfect example why you can't look in the rear view mirror. SFO has experienced some rapid 737 growth due to recent bids. Without additional large bids in the future that extreme bubble won't exist.

Without doubt SFO and EWR are destined to continue in evolve as UA's international mega-hubs and there will be lots of movement in both.

Which one will result in becoming a line holder faster for a new hire is a crap shoot, IMHO.

Howdy Gents...checking in finally - 20 Apr interview, 27 Apr CJO. Was told to expect a Sept or Oct class date.
Do they send out any monthly newsletters, or the like to folks in the pool waiting for class? I don't like the quiet...

Not really. They try to give ya a months notice but sometimes they offer less if there is a spot they want to fill. So you probably won't hear till August or September. But keep an eye on your email because that's where your class offer will be and some people get classes earlier than they expected. Congratulations!

For those worried about less classes (repeating what I have heard... RUMOR ALERT) I have heard that the classes that have been cancelled this year are still being run just with furlough/mil returns. Just what I have heard. I've got 550+ behind me since first half of October.... Welcome.

What are the class dates for the rest of the year? How many were supposed to be cancelled?

Deep breath....

Ok folks, classes have not been "cancelled" but rather the schedule is rather fluid and they are constantly shuffling the deck to match sim availability, staffing, and other considerations. I have not done the math but I'd wager for every class that has been "cancelled" (cough) this year another has been added. We have seen this already this month with two classes scheduled when an earlier plan only had one per month during the summer.

This whole thing took on a life of its own on APC (and nowhere else) after a small class was filled with returning pilots and since there were no new hires in the class somebody proclaimed that the class was "cancelled." With all due respect to folks waiting for a class, returning pilots have first dibs on class dates.

In the fall there is currently 2 per month scheduled.
