New Hire Class Dates Apr-Aug
#91
How far out will you know what the class drop (bid) is? I'm a recent new hire who is expecting to start class either 27 Sept or 11 Oct, based on the phone call from the hiring department...
I see that the rumor is 320 and 737 (hoping for a 737)....

I hope that the updated list of new classes posted on the 20th holds true. I was just told my DENTK that although I was supposed to start on the 17th of May, they might not have any INDOC classes after 10 May until early June. I believe DENTK is waiting on ORD to give pilot development the approval to have these classes.

I am pretty sure the plan isn't set in stone until 30 days prior when they are looking at staffing, sim availability, etc...

And as stated, the longer you are in training, the more you get paid...

Natty,
Once you have your equipment bid you can email the training scheduler to request an earlier or later start date relative to others in your class.
As others have said, they are extremely accommodating to life events. As of day 1, you are a United pilot on the seniority list. If you have to take care of business at home, they will let you do what needs to be done, then when you are ready they will bring you back to finish what you need to, no Huhu.
