Not much different than your post on the same thread. It's important to remember the past and not let the bad things happen again. Look at what council #171 did recently to move foreword instead of moving back to the black era of representation. YOU need to move foreward but remember the past for reference.

CONT,
Unfortunately, it's well past that point. One side feels abused by the company in alliance with the other F/A group and they are at the point of saying enough is enough. It's not an emotional issue. Their vote will be like the pilots for money and QOL.
I love the Flight Attendants and want to see them happy.

LCAL F/A's I ask all say they are voting "no".
I've talked to new-hires and they tend to be "no" votes as well.
Surprisingly.....LUAL F/A's I've asked are mostly "no" too.
One gal had been here for 21 years and was on reserve every other month. Clearly, a "yes" vote would get her rightful seniority put in place and GREATLY increase her quality of life. She is voting NO. I asked her if she would be O.K. waiting for the next deal and suffering under her current seniority for a couple more years. She said "oh, we're going to fix the seniority with or without a contract".

Many of the flight attendants are all over the reservation with their misguided beliefs. I realize sometimes you can't fix stupid, but the fault lies with the union and their communications. You reap what you sow.

Had a no voter tell me she was a no because they will have to pay for medical.
Me: What would the effective pay rate be for you per month
FA: About $1800-2100 more per month
Me: What would medical run under the new contract
FA: For me, about $300/month
Me: So then it's about a $1600/month raise and you like everything else about the TA, right?
FA: <404 ERROR> blank stare

Every sCAL FA I've talked to still believes that all the pilots got $40K signing bonuses for the contract extension. This has been one of the main reasons they're going to vote no. I've politely explained to them that it is incorrect, but it keeps popping up.
Most haven't read the contract info and use the "no to all first offers" line of reasoning.
Why are they concerned with comparing to pilots when they should be looking at Delta and AA FA contracts?
