The big unknown here and an understated concern is where the small regionals who fly older, less automated equipment, going to get their pilots.
Just like sailing, these days the bigger the plane, the easier it is.
If you want a challenge try flying some underpowered tube with propellers in a busy environment, with thunder storms or icing.
My hat is off to those who have spent decades at the regionals, while maintaining a safe record.
What quality of applicant can be expected to a program that does not have a clear path to a 787?

This seems to good to be true... What's the catch? If we're all going to spend 1-2 years as a CFI anyhow, why not sign up for this program and go straight to UAL? Is there a reason to go through the regionals if something like this is available?
