[QUOTE=G550Guy;2222688]just so I completely understand... you got an invite for day 1 AND day 2 in the email you received?

I received an invite for Thurs (day1) but my invite made no mention of day 2 which is when the recruiters will have a one on one conversation.

~thanks

I only got an invite to the AM session on Friday, but it does specifically mention a one-on-one opportunity. I did email the UAL recruiting team and ask about attending Thursday too or now just Friday. It seems they may be repeating the info briefings and Q&As during each session from the wording.

Thank you for your interest to attend the United Airlines Military/Veteran Pilot Career Fair. We were impressed with the volume of high caliber aviators interested in attending this event. Unfortunately, due to capacity constraints we are not able to accommodate all individuals and we regret that you were not selected to join us.

While we could not invite all those that registered, please know that this does not reflect negatively on your qualifications and application at United. We will continue to consider your application and encourage you to update your application for consideration in our process.

United Airlines intends to host a webinar in early 2017 for individuals unable to attend this event and we will communicate those details as soon as available. We wish you the very best and hope to meet you at a future event!

My invite for Fri AM specifically mentions one-on-one for about 15 minutes and to bring updated resume and wear professional business attire (ie. a suit). I am treating this as a mini-interview and prepping as I would for an interview. I would imagine that success in SFO would bring on the next step to take the Hogan, and being prepared for an interview can't hurt. Not being prepared with TMAAT, hypos, why United?, etc. could only hurt future chances with them.

No. I originally misunderstood. Mine was a TBNT for both. I thought everyone was invited to day 1 and the invite was for day 2 but now realize that you need an invite for both. Oh well.

Thoughts? Recommendations?
TacAir folks always seem to get picked up with much lower times.. being that you all fly less.
But, you're highly qualified. IMHO

I've flown with plenty of ex-navy F-18 drivers that came to the company I work for to get an ATP, a civilian type and 121 experience. And then have to choose if they wanted ATL or IAD bases within a year on the job. I'm sure you'll have those tough decisions soon as well.

My guess...save the cash and terminal leave. Get on-line at Commutair ASAP and you'll be good to go!
Good luck!

So for those who got a Thur invite, are we standing by for a TBNT for Friday or is that just a given we missed the chance for the one-on-one's.

Bingo... For some it might be worth the informational session to learn more about the airline. But if you don't even have a chance to speak with a recruiter, and your goal is to get hired, then I don't think this event really stacks up for the cost involved to get there.

Register early for WAI or OBAP and knock out multiple meet and greats in 1 day. Thats more bang for the buck in my opinion.

Yes.

I applied on the 1st day that registration opened (within hours of it opening really) I also audited my entire app which was has been on file for years with bimonthly updates. My audit was complete and fully updated by September 30th.

Its sucks. But it is what it is. Congrats to those lucky ones that got anything other than a TBNT for the whole thing like I did.
