75 out of 253 can hold 787 CA and at least 25-30 of those would be on reserve. Going to be interesting either way.

True. Plus a few of them that I talked to said they were waiting to get back to LAX since they went up to SFO when they closed the LAX 747 base. Apparently many of the previously LAX people are waiting for their bumps or just bidding LAX as it becomes available.

From the looks of the SFO trips, even being a junior line holder isn't all that great.

How many whale guys/gal in sfo do you think will just retire early instead of going to training to fly for a year or 2 more. I'm not on the fleet, but I gotta imagine a lot of the crews have 62+ yr olds in 1 or more seats.

In the last two and a half years, I've seen my "Seniority Gonculator" projected number at my retirement move up 6 numbers over the initial number. (That was when I was shown the website).
In other words, very few retire early...be that voluntarily, or involuntarily (loss of medical, running a brothel, smuggling lots of cash from India....).

And throw away 300K+ per year with 42 days vacation? I'd say none.

A lot of guys were saying that the change to age 65 from 60 would never hurt the current pilots, nor lead to furloughs or keep guys out longer. See, how that worked out?
