If your CPA knows what he is doing after seeing your W-2 from UAL, he should inform you the Per Diem write off against this income doesn't count.

Tell him to figure it out, it's what you pay him for. Oh, and don't F it up.

There's a whole special IRS rule for "travel industry " people and how to take a deduction. The forms even have a place for it.


TurboTax asks the question so any decent tax preparer should be able to figure it out.
