I went to FAPA Aero in MCO in oct. after that I got an email saying I wasn’t being considered and to sign up for Stella. My app also went from “active” and updatable to “on file” and locked. So apparently the job fair didn’t do me much good.

The face to face went well I thought since I was given a business card which is supposed to be a good sign.

So I support the crapshoot arguement. Maybe job fairs work, maybe they don’t, personally I won’t be paying for another one.

No firsthand experience here, but I have had several tell me they went back to "on file" just before getting the call. Maybe some others here can verify this, but don't lose hope yet.

My app has been “active” since I applied. A week after FAPA, I received the Hogan invitation. After I passed the Hogan, my application is still “active”, but all sections except contact information are locked. I’m taking this as a good sign.

I think everyone can agree that this process is an enigma. However, the job waiting at the end is well worth the effort.

Just went into the Career site to check my app, and it had asked me 5 additional questions:

Are you a U.S Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer? Yes No
Do you hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate? Yes No
Do you hold a current ATP Certificate? Yes No
Do you hold an FCC restricted radiotelephone operator permit? Yes No
Do you have a minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time? (UPS will allow military candidates to add a plus (.3) per sortie factor to flight times).

Then I received this statement:
Our system has retained the information you previously supplied. Your information, along with the information supplied by other job applicants, will be considered when UPS jobs become available. Thank you for continuing to consider UPS as an employer.

I'm still ACTIVE in the system. Anyone else have this? Thanks

That's what happened to mine. They're probably just trying to figure out when they'll be interviewing again. Peak starts next week so it wouldn't shock me if the interviews stop until January, but that's just a guess. It wouldn't shock me at all if you interview in December. Good luck!

The next job fair UPS will be attending is the NGPA Industry Expo in Palm Springs in early February. They are listed as an attendee/exhibitor on the NGPA website.

Has anyone gotten the call for an interview in the past couple weeks?

I got an interview call about 3 weeks ago. I went to FAPA on Oct. 28th and got the business card. The next Friday, Nov. 3rd I got a call and a Hogan. I took the Hogan on Monday Nov 6th and passed. ( I recommend videoing it in slo-motion when you hit submit so that you can tell if you pass or not). I got another phone call on Nov. 8th offering me an interview.

Calls for interviews will continue thru peak and well into the foreseeable future......they really can afford “quiet time.”
