I used Adam Hughes, several of my friends used him too. Don’t think I’d be here without his help. Yes, I’d do it again.
Good luck to you!
(Note - He’s swamped so if you decide to go for it reach out as soon as possible.)

Adam does a good UPS specific. I was working with another company and wasn’t able to get him scheduled before my interview (for additional, specific prep) but he did send some helpful stuff over free of charge, so I though that was cool. I used emerald coast as they do a great all round prep that works for every company with specific focus given for whatever company you are interviewing for. I’ve heard good reports from Cage consulting as well. Albie, the owner of Emerald coast, made some unfortunate remarks on one of these these threads a while back and I stopped recommending him for a time but that’s unfair to the rest of the team and their product which I feel is really, really good, so I’d say head over there and then try to work with Adam if he can get you in.

As to whether or not one can rationalize frugality in not hiring a consultant - I suppose if you are diligent, self disciplined enough, motivated enough, and get some good gouge, you could put yourself through a self made training program. Or, for a few bucks you can get professionally trained (numerous exercises and techniques, mock interview with critiques, some tips and tricks) and be confident that your interview skills will get you the job.

My ebook has been updated with the latest info on the hiring process at Big Brown: How to Ace Your UPS Pilot Interview. It's on Amazon.

I recommend Judy Tarver (judy at pilotcounseling dot com) for the sit-down interview prep. She hired over 7,500 pilots at American back in the 80s and 90s. James Onieal at Raven Career Development is also excellent; very thorough.

Another vote for Adam Hughes. As someone who hates talking about himself (I’m an actions speak louder than words kinda guy), I walked out of my UPS interview extremely confident that I was going to be hearing good news soon. He was dead-nuts on with his approach to the interview.

He is tough to get ahold of initially, but once you have something set up with him he keeps a tight schedule.

Aviationinterviews.com has interview questions and reports. $20 for access. Worth it IMO.

I paid for their service and was not knocked back with a positive impression. Most of the stuff is free, available elsewhere.
