I doubt they can run a march class until a new system bid/realignment comes out. Last bid only had 27 spots which will likely be covered up by January/February classes.
First MD is already in the desert, so the realignment will come very soon I’m sure. We’ll know a whole lot more at that point.
You certainly aren’t wrong to take the legacy job though. There is a ton of uncertainty here and at cargo carriers overall at the moment.

They aren’t forced to park all 23(?) Pratts this year. The rumors have all be in the single digits. Not to mention they have sent at least a small few to get the mods done at the full sticker price which suggest they don’t have an immediate need to dump a bunch of planes. So a big displacement doesn’t seem likely at all. EB blast last month stated UPS is to make an announcement this quarter regarding 2023 plans for the Air District.
Besides the natural reduction in demand following the Covid spike, what’s going on at FX is quite different than what’s at play here. Better not bigger turning out to be the right call…?
Again, we have 8 new 76s coming and retirements. Trickle hiring seems more plausible than none.
