I can create a WhatsApp group, PM me to get the link to join
Very fortunate to get the call myself a couple days ago for the Sep heavy class. Super excited to join UPS! Any Whats App or Slack message groups formed for this class yet?
I have a similar timeline and resume as Texanmoose but I'm on the KC-135. Interviewed 20 Apr, pool email 2 June, call/CJO on 8 July.
Anyone have any pros/cons for 74 vs MD? I live in Cincinnati so SDF would be ideal.

As Boiler said, 74 almost certainly means ANC (although I ran across a guy who got SDF while in training a while back, I think that was one in a million). Bidding down to SDF more generally seems to take six months to a year. Be careful with J/Sing up to ANC from CVG on Atlas or Kalitta, as you are not protected from discipline if you miss a commute, probably better to just do the drive to SDF. If they give you a choice, I would probably take the MD, but remember you will be outside of reserve call-out range, so unless you like taking naps at truck stops, you will want to bid longer trips asap.

if they put you on a heavy class, it’s gonna be 74. They give you the option for MD and Z but in reality it’s gonna be 74.
however if they do give you the MD option, TAKE IT. Commuting to PANC is a nightmare. Our schedules in ANC are brutal, and you are sure to have 4-5 commutes a bid period… if you are lucky.

We chose not to go there as it’s Too far from family, long travel times for vacations, and not a great place for raising kids (schools are meh, small population complications, etc). Z is pretty darn good if you have decent seniority. I’d wager that senior Z beats senior ANC 74, bit all things considered I’d much rather live in ANCq than SDF.
I heard commute is easier now though still not rated as easy. You don’t want to miss a commute as a new hire.

ANC is awesome, IMHO. I’d have gone there from day 1 and stayed until retirement (move, not commute). You’re away from SDF so generally more chill work experience. Crews are awesome, vibe is solid.
