Yes, I'm not on ONT or SDF 757. My Seat is way more Senior. Bottom 15% VTO the last 11 years. Which means CA and CP or Hard Reserve.

It is what it is. Just saying UPS has Zero inclination to expand the Airline. If the past 10 years are any barometer.

Best thread I could find to say this. I'm wearing my flameproof Hanes if y'all wanna disagree.

Just finished my taxes, compared to 2015 my gross in 2017 was about 50% higher on the same F/S/D and my per diem was $1,100 lower and comparing 2017 to 2016 I made $20k more with per diem $1,600 lower! I had two full months in 2017 that I did not turn a wheel for the company.

Thank you to the EB and NC. Probably the biggest thank you is for OCV!!! Working ten (or less) months a year is awesome!

BBFO
PS, the airline is growing compared to when the previous post was made but we still have a long way to go. ATL is playing catch up and will for years!

I have worked significantly more in that same timeframe, not by choice. I bid domestic reserve and have seen qol drop to an all time low. I recognize the gains that this contract has given us and my wife (and Uncle Sam) appreciates the raise. Looking forward to the next contract and hopefully some improved reserve language.

Don't hold your breath for better RSV language. It has never been a priority for any seniority list that I have been on, I don't expect it to be a priority for the IPA next time around either. It just doesn't affect enough of the membership to make it a priority for any NC. Generally speaking, the majority of the membership couldn't give a crap about QOL on RSV, it doesn't affect them.

We got an extra day off on RSV, UPS got plenty of flexibility to take that day away as needed (with restrictions)... and that is considered a victory.

Hey Brown Boeing FO, was that including the "signing bonus" ?

OCV, gotta admit that was a gain for probably everyone on the list. Juniority with 2 weeks of VAC on 9 days off was getting old. That was a big fix to getting the time off, or getting a better pay credit for the VAC on a day off.

Now if we could get those limo rides to the airport and first class tickets, we'd only be complaining about working EVERY Tuesday

as a reference... beer talk I suppose

UPS not satisfied with 2006 language. Wanted and started a direction toward more flexible reserve language. Incentives offered and rejected.
Reference point: 1998 contract had 16 days of reserve. Plus extension for wx and mechanical.
2006 contract brought down to 15 days plus extension possibilities,

2016 now down to 14 days. Yes, some can on limited basis be extended into the previous days as in previous contracts. Some indeed get tagged for extra, (but better treatment for pay and limited and infrequently used across the fleets and seats).

I'm 100 percent certain we could get some good deals in other places if we return to 2006 and especially 1998 reserve language in 2021.

Agree on limo, first class and hundred others

My experience was SDF reserve utilization (across fleets) spiked after the MD reject in ICN and never really got better as volume blew out projections. Block hours were increased, extra sections went through the roof, staffing was already lean, and 2016 vacation/sked duty limits meant JAs rained and reserves got crushed for multiple bids on end.

International reserves seemed to get “loved” even more for a while.

Things appear to have moderated a bit the last couple months, at least in Hooterville...then again maybe that’s because they’ve beefed up reserve numbers and cut back VTOs...

Agree. RSV numbers are covering things for the time being. But its not merely a coincidence that the last few months, There's also 3-7 aircraft being operated in the system by contractors.

That also helps the staffing numbers, and spare aircraft problems.

So we got that going for us ...
