Hahahahaha... well I was in the Army. We're not known for having a gourmet palette.

So it's that bad huh?

Will be a few years if at all. Initial aircraft will be flown by ANC crews, two on property by next October, 5 more in 2018. Network planning still developing routes. Next year aircraft will be deployed on ANC SDF route, then international in 2018.

747-8 IPT coming to ANC training center hopefully by March, new 747-4 sim in works, destination unknown.

New hires likely will be assigned to fleet next year, approximately 8 crews a month starting training in Jan on 747 fleet.

Aircraft was purchased because it was fastest solution to increase domestic lift. 747 will eventually fly all international trunk routes, pull MD11 and 767 back domestically.

Well you're a fountain of knowledge. What do you know about the pool and interviewing? Is Shaggy Really Browned On?

Heard 777s are to be announced once your mechanics contact is ironed out on the issue of heavy checks.

New training center to be built across from Edgewood. Old training center will become additional ramp space. 747 sim going in new training center. All this per van driver so it's believable!

Per new language in 14.E.10 and 14.E.1 of the 2016 CBA, newhires will no longer be assigned positions - they will bid on available positions in class seniority order, and those available positions will be the result of a vacancy bid.

I would expect a bid posted sometime in the next week or two.

Unless the whale starts doing cities other than ANC, I can't see a reason for a SDF base.

Plenty of sim space in Anchorage.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if all of MD training, including the ANC simulator, ends up in Louisville.
They'll probably move the MD11 simulator by truck because they're really good at that. :D

How is seniority going to be determined? Age or last 4?
