My money is on they bit off more than they could chew in not having the resources to hire as many as needed and now they are finding themselves further behind playing catchup through peak.

If war breaks out in North Korea it will have a negative effect on. Everything.

It's not as bad as it has been in the past. For a few weeks a couple years ago, crewmembers would get SAT phones to take on the layover in case the balloon went up.

Good luck getting from the layover hotel to ICN. I don't think Mr. Lee will be there to drive you to the airport. He and the rest of Seoul will be bugging out.

I'm sure UPS has a "contingency" plan for Mr. Lee ;)

It rhymes with "Hey Capt, can you call a cab and get to the jet by departure time ? "

:D:D

3 MIL

Though the classes tend to fluctuate with composition, Atlas guys have had good representation over the last couple of years. All of the Middle East guys I've come across were L seat, some were instructors too. Not sure what the current RJ guys are looking like but in the 2015 time frame we were mostly all higher time LCAs with many guys also involved in their safety depts, training/fleet managers, etc.

DAL et als should like your stats, no? Commando will tell you to get on there and don't look back - you could upgrade into an oversized RJ with 1950's tech within a year... I say, whoopiddy-f'in-do, but agree not to hold out for UPS. FedEx? Same job, very similar contract, company a little nicer (on the surface).

OTW I know Atlas is a great ticket to opening more doors but it does come with a cost of being gone more than you might want to be. Your posted stats are competitive at the legacies - perhaps you could go direct vs layover at an ACMI gig and if you really have the bug for brown/purple you can always jump ship...if you dare.

Good luck.

Were the corporate guys Large Cabin International Corporate or Domestic smaller jet guys?

A lot of them have been flying the G. So you should be in the ballpark

Bizav pilots from light cabin up through large cabin international have been hired, but there *seems* to be a trend toward pilots flying supermids or larger.

There is a definite preference for bizav pilots with former department management experience (DO and/or CP).

Over the last 3 years I have flown with an incredible number of new guys, what a great experience!!! Unbelievably sharp, helpful, 10 times my pilot skills, it has been great. I want to see more and more of you help me out for a few more years (very few) and then "you have the jet!!!!!"

When does Brown conduct the background checks during the hiring process?

Reason for asking is in the application there was no option for "don't contact my current employer" as some applications have. I am still waiting for my app to go active. Just had a friend put in a recommendation and I'm planning to attend the FAPA in Oct.

Trying to figure out when and if I should have a talk with my current employer in case they get a call from Brown and are caught off guard. If they do this after giving out job offers post interview none of this matters.

Thanks ahead of time.
