2016 Interview Experience

Plan for 6 hours, however the interview process is very relaxed. It's not a stressful event. Yet, you will very much so want to be prepared. The interview process consist of fingerprinting, review of your logbook(s), and proper completion of your Pria forms. There's somewhat of a meet and greet followed by some alone time. After personal reflection, the panel interview. A little bit more of reflection time, then sim profile study that leads to the sim followed by a debriefing. I hope this helps. Good luck.

IMUDD is correct.
Remember, this is a personality interview. So do interview prep with someone like Adam Hughes or Emerald Coast, as how you answer their questions (how you come across) is everything.
Lots of interview calls are going out, so good luck! Biggest hiring spree next year in over 20 years... The recent mock system bid (bidding on aircraft and seat) put out has the most junior captain at 2006 date-of-hire. Things are finally on the move.

I was asked about interview prep early in the day. I admitted that I had not used this, and that seemed to be a good thing. I am in no way disparaging the value of such services.. only that apparently they have been seeing nearly identical responses to certain questions. From what I understand, these services help you with communication and interpersonal skills, but just be careful your responses aren't sounding too pre-prepared.

ECIC did discuss the issue of canned answers. One thing to remember is that it's a competitive pool so you have to focus on more than just passing the interview; you want to perform extremely well.
One thing I wouldn't do is waste time renting a heavy sim. Fly raw data when you can, get a little time in your local instrument trainer (Frasca), or whatever you need to tune up your scan. I heard that someone did prep on a PC flight sim w/ yoke so you can get creative in this area.

Thank you for the follow up
What is the biggest item that they are looking for on the sim? Is it the scan or following directions?
Is there any questions that stand out that are different from past interview questions. Who is doing most of the interviews?
