LUS third listers

When was this data accurate? I don't think it's accurate now. Possibly accurate prior to the merger?

That doesn't tell the whole story. How many are third listers? AA new hires? How many in each group are 40-45? 45-50? Where they slot on the list matters.
Supports my point that third listers will do ok regardless. Twenty five years after the post third listers will will have 336 of the top 383 spots.

Not sure of the exact number as I don't have the data handy at the moment, but middle group of Supp W. Pilots (those that flowed during "furliugh recall" via arbitration award) transferred between 2010 (1 class during summer) and 2012. Then there were another 150 or so that were added that did not get any credit for pay/pension through 2013 up to snapshot.

If you go in saying 3rd listers are young they have plenty of career to move up left then the airways comittee (s) will just say hey look at our superior attrition if we are talking about age. That's why I don't think APA wants to mess with the age factor.
I had always heard AA was an old pilot group, but in reality they are younger when compared to airways. The longer the lists are seperate the longer it helps out those on the airways side, particularly the east. Unless your trying to get to an AA base, of course. That being said I hope it sticks to schedule!

The arbitrators are well aware of history. The courts are as well. There isn't one fan of the BS the east has pulled over the last 10 years. Be prepared to be a junior captain to a lot of west pilots when they finally get a chance to move out of base.
My prediction is the US list will look a lot like Nicolau when we get slotted in with the AA list. The resulting list will look like the NWA Delta list or the CAL/UAL list. Relative seniority grouped by aircraft type.

But how did you come to the conclusion that anyone over here wanted to throw the 3rd listers under the bus?
I agree with you that the arbitrators are well aware of everything that has gone on with us. Everything.

Seriously. I'm interested in hearing why you think these guys are wanting to throw you under the bus. You've said that twice and other 3rd listers obviously feel disregarded by their reps because of the lack of communication. Fair enough. But are there other reasons? Is there something the rest of us can do to help?
If it's just from the response on the last town hall meeting, I don't think that's a good reason. The reps are not the merger committee, and you don't want them interfering with the merger committee. Trust me on that one. There needs to a way of communicating your feelings directly to the committee.
I certainly don't want to throw you under the bus and I really don't think any of the reps do. I really don't know any of them well, but what reason do they have to do it?
Good luck.

Yes, all LUS-East pilots are equal. Some are just more equal than others. I will agree with you, though, I don't want those 4 to have anything to do with the committee. However, I'm almost willing to bet money that they have their chosen ones hand-picked to go on that committee.
