ADI (Aerodynamics)
Hello,
Was wondering if anyone has info on ADI and their new 121 certificate? I received a call from them for an interview and am trying to find out some more info as there has been a lot of change over last few months. Looking through the very few older topics I did find doesn't help since they've been spun off into an actual airline now, not tied into the FBO/MRO/Flight Ops triangle anymore.
The limited knowledge I have on them:
- HQ has moved to Georgia
- Two E145s (maybe one E135 and one E145)
- Flew an A319 under the ICAO code DNJ (Dyna-Jet) out of MBS years ago (ending in maybe 2009). I think it was a 125 operation too but I'm not sure.
- Chief pilot said another A319 is in the works
- 121 (I'd assume supplemental even though they fly scheduled trips for Intel)
I did notice a lot of 121 positions posted over the past few months on the orange site. The postings caught my attention since I was doing some 135 flying out of PTK at the time and would taxi by their ramp and an engine-less E145 a few times a week. Then out of the blue the http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/co...tk-closed.html topic showed up on APC. Their facebook page isn't helpful either. Just a guy asking to confirm a rumor that they'd dropped their 121 goal and decided to stick with 135 ops.
The chief pilot is the one who called me and sounds like a really nice guy but it seems the company is very very small as a stand alone airline now.
Thanks!

To be honest with you I was sad to see them go. I work for a "competitor" on the field but ADI and FPM Foundation gave me scholarships going through college to offset flight costs and I was in good contact with a few of their guys. They seemed to like it, they did lose the orange-tailed Airbus from KMBS when Dow took their shuttle in house a few years back. I know they used to manage a Hawker 850XP and a Pilates along withe the west coast shuttle. Most of those folks I talked with have moved on so I'm not sure how their new outfit is going in Kennesaw.
