years of service/ pay in thousands. A common campaign slogan was 10 year captain pay of 250,000. These same chumps started drooling at a 30k signing bonus and a status quo contract. pathetic

The signing bonus had nothing to do with why the TA passed.

This. With no upgrade in sight FO pay over the long term will have to be a consideration for many. As much as I dislike the 121 world, maybe that makes more sense long term from a financial standpoint?

If you are talking the big 3 or even JB with the quicker upgrade (5-7 years), the financial difference doesn't even come close for potential Netjets FOs considering the looooooonnnnng upgrade time. However, life is all about trade offs and money isn't always the absolute priority....

I agree, and really I hate the idea of commuting to an airline job. The bases that are the most popular aren't places I'd really want to live in anyways. For me the schedule has always been more important than money and a 7/7 schedule sounds really good right about now.

But remember that people bid for those schedules - they are not a given. The guy I know on the Phenom wants 7/7 but he can't hold it yet.

This is incorrect. A few falcon guys were stuck on the 18 day due to the retention/abandonment clause. Several fleets have the opposite problem. Guys want to be on the 18 day but are stuck on the 7/7. Of course this will change next bid period with the new contract

7/7 is the default schedule. Anyone can hold it.
