One more thing and this is why roadshows or calling or emailing you REP is so important. The NMB stated this is a more than fair deal and will put us on ice if it's voted down and we approach them for services. CALL your reps if you can't make road shows

Ice Ice Baby... I can't vote yes, wish I could.

Care to elaborate on why you would say yes to pdt TA and no to PSA's? I haven't been to any of the roadshows yet due to schedule but have a good idea what our TA is like. I wonder what pdt TA is like. I think trip touch and no hot reserve is the best part of your contract.
I can't imagine PSA's TA being significantly better than PDT's. During the roadshows our NC was saying ours is by far better than PSA's, but they sugar coat everything about the TA. I know that between our two current contracts PDT's is better or equal in almost every regard except payscales, but you guys are flying 70 seat RJs so they should be better at PSA.

I was reading on PSA's thread about you all getting excited about a 3.5 hour MMD. At PDT we have always had a 4 hour MMD.

Unplanned swap into the last leg causing you to arrive back in base even a minute late? That's 2.5 hours of pay at PDT.

I think you were talking about vacation when you said trip touch, and yea its pretty good for the industry. At PDT we can place our VAC days startegically and any trip touched by vacation drops off. For hard line holders it's not unheard of to have 18-20 days off with a single slot.

I believe at PDT, even with the new TA we will still pay less for health insurance.

Our signing bonus is 6% of our box 1 W2. What's yours? I had heard significantly less.

The new TA has much improved reserve pay protections. For example, I'm assigned a 2 day worth 10 hours. They end up canceling my first leg deadhead for MX or WX and have another reserve fly the trip. With the TA I'm now pay protected all 10 hours of that 2 day.

Is there anything in PSA's contract that you think is much better than PDT's?

Psa is frozen at 27% I'm told. Laughable pay raises etc, anyone can sit in on their roadshows in CLT btw

Is there some sort of pi**ing contast going on I was not aware of? Yes, PDT has always had better work rules than PSA. Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't know the facts. There are many improvements in the new PSA T/A over our current book. This is what I wanted to see:

* FO pay go up.....it has
* Rsv work rules.....they have. Infact I'm surprised with some of the stuff they got there.
* Min day....fell short of my expectations
* Health insurance.....not going up
* retirement......staying the same, which is good.
* 75 hours rsv guarantee and 11 days off......thats a raise for all rsv pilots.
* DH pay 75%......fell short of my expectations.
* JR man.....4 hours min at 175%
* Transparency......trip trades auto approved, Schedule adjustment period.
* 3rd week vacation now at year 7.

Is this a perfect TA? NO. As a soon to be rsv CA though, I'm going to vote yes.

No there's no ****ing match, and I'm not trying to start one. There's a sentiment amongst some here at PDT that this TA is some huge s#%t sandwich that ALPA and our MEC is trying to get the group to swallow. That's what I was expecting when they tried to lower expectations a month ago in an email. But after reading all the language and going to a roadshow I disagree with that sentiment. This TA preserves much of the good of our current contract and adds some very welcomed improvements. I was just responding to sky bomb when he said he had heard that PSAs TA was much better then PDTs.

The thing that stuck out to me was someone said PSA is getting a 3.5hr MMD... I'm pretty sure they are getting a 3.5hr MD. A real minimum day vs a "Modified Minimum"

I love working a 4 day trip and day one fly 2hrs and only get paid 2 hrs because the next day you have 6 legs. / Not.

Here are, in my opinion, are the key improvements of this TA

Signing bonus of 6% based on 2012 W-2 wages.

Monthly Guarantee of 75 hours (Currently 72 hours)

New pay protections for reserve pilots

Flight deadhead pay increases to 75% on date of signing plus 3 months (Currently 50%)

Per Diem rate increases to $1.70 on January 1, 2014 (Currently $1.55)

New hotel standards to bring us in line with the FA contract (no first floor rooms etc.)

Hotel room in domicile under certain circumstances (New provision).

Deadhead to and from training to and from your home (Currently from base only)

Minimum of 11 days off (Currently 10)

Fixed duty and rest limits after a forced overnight

Pilots on personal leave accrue seniority and longevity for 30 days (Currently do not accrue seniority or longevity)

Various improvements to disciplinary grievance process

Conversion to an all electronic bidding system (FLica is on the way)

Provisions for all electronic swaps

Uniform change paid for by company (no more pro rate BS)

$25/ month uniform allowance (This sounds good but I'm not sure, instead of giving you half off replacement they just pay you an extra $25 a month)

Crew room: Clean, comfortable and away from public access (Currently no requirements).

401k match increased by 2% for defined and 3% for non defined.

The biggest things we gave up:

Heath insurance which goes up in increments and is capped at 18% after 5 years. Indemnity plan frozen to entrants.

Medical leave length, which when they looked into wouldn't effect anyone currently and everyone on leave is grandfathered in anyway.

I left out the LOA with Airways because I don't really see it as a big positive either way. It just puts a little more structure to what's already going on. Not a big fan of the possible seat lock for new PDT CAs though.

Yea if its a true min day that would be a big improvement for them. There's a lot of trip here at Piedmont where that would boost the cred quite a bit.

Yes theres alot of little stuff in ours too. Hotel requirements, crewroom requirement, uniform accout $400/year, fatigue calls paid from sick bank, hotel room in base (also circumstantial) etc. Let me clarify what this min day means for us at psa. 3.5 hours min pay except: day one if the trip starts after 1200 local. Day last if the trip ends before 1700 local. Basically it will usually only kick in day 2 and 3, those pesky 2 leg days that are not productive. Our day 1 and last are usually 3 or 5 legs, ie more than 3.5 hours credit.
