GLA having an open house hiring event for flight attendants. Seems odd for a company that currently flies one plane (Denver to Pierre route on EMB-120) that potentially uses a flight attendant.
They might actually be adding some regional jets. With their recent refinancing they have the flexibility to do so.

The prospect of adding a new type of aircraft is time-consuming, and therefore expensive.
The question to Doug and Chuck is: Can they afford it? Can they afford not to?
Could they be considering retiring some of the 9 PAX 1900-Ds for smaller and therefore less expensive-to-operate aircraft?
SSPS - Shiny Smaller Plane Syndrome?

Supposedly the new pilot union contract has wage agreements for jet aircraft, so they have obviously been mulling the idea. There's quite a few regional jets parked collecting dust that they could get at a decent price. Add in the drop in jet fuel prices and the subsidized routes and it might make economic sense.

Adding jets would cost a lot more than just the jets, adding any new type of aircraft is a huge deal for a 121, new training program, maintenance training, new procedures, proving runs, check airmen, etc. This is a huge resource drain. If a company has the capital, it could be a good move depending on the type and their needs, but it's usually a company that's expanding operations significantly with a lot of business lined up. It sounds like the opposite of GLA at this time.

Lots of ERJ 135/145 sitting in the desert that they could get cheap cheap.
But rumors of GLA jets have been going almost as long as the company has existed. I distinctly remember a story about how a letter was seen on the DO's desk about RJ deliveries that summer, and it was a "sure thing". In September 2000.

Just a thought...
