SkyWest has been hiring 30 to 60 per month all year with a current 7 year upgrade. Not sure your logic is sound.

Envoy pilots are currently in denial. Envoy cannot staff their sinking airline but the pilots were convinced by the union that there is a pilot shortage and no one else can staff either.

The fact is any company with a good contract (Skywest) or quick movement (Compass, PSA, Mesa) is having no issues hiring. This may and probably will change as retirements really kick in at the majors and guys begin to leave the regionals in larger numbers, but we're not there yet.

Disagree. They just decided they didn't want to fly larger planes for less money when the company is reaping in record profits. What is SO hard to understand about that for you Bzzt??

Did they have the pilot shortage leverage they thought they had? Time will tell, but that wasn't the MAIN reason for the actions to date.

Bzzt, continue to wallow in your self pity and blame everyone else for your troubles in life. If you don't like it, you can quite. Either way, stop whining like a little girl all of the time, it gets old.

Yes agree, I think Envoy pilots knew there would be risk. Everyone should remember that we are just at the tip of the pilot shortage, it doesn't peek for another 5-6 years.

Yes I will quit I've already said I'm doing just that. We as a group gambled and lost, time to move on.

Bzzt you got it wrong. We were not going to put up with parker and Kirby bull. Period. They can get concession from where ever they can BUT not here. We all knew they can close the doors here anytime as they have been saying for 20 years. WE DO NOT CARE. Shut this place down.

You've made that perfectly clear, I'm sure it's easy to be so bombastic when you're a senior captain with a flow parachute. Your ignorance and obstinance put those of us who are FOs in a pretty bad spot. Most of my class have already left, hopefully for your sake enough of us stay so that you don't get displaced. Good luck.

If PSA and PDT had voted no, Eagle was STILL going to be the higher-cost wholly-owned, (simply because they have such a large and senior pilot group), and for that reason, alone,.... they were necessarily going to shrink.

The only question that remains is this: HOW MUCH is Eagle going to shrink? And the answer to THAT question depends on how much more flying the other (cheaper) regionals can handle.

Eagle was expensive, relative to other wholly-owneds and was going to shrink, either via attrition or flow,.....regardless of PSA or PDT's vote.

And yes, I know they're now "Envoy",....but to me they'll always be "Eagle".

Tears are running as I read your post. You mean like you guys who voted and changed our scope let's not forget. You mean you and your class who voted yes blindly to concessions yes I worry I worry that there are to many of your types. You made your position clear also. Bend to management whims at every turn.
