Taters was one of the lucky ones. For every Tater there may be 2 or 3 who were not so lucky. You would fly with a guy one day and then never see him again. People just disappeared. Guys like Tater were the ones who never asked the question, "where did that guy go?" Maybe he had to take FMLA leave because his wife needed surgery - Fired. Maybe he wasn't the gal who got breast cancer and the company would be liable for 500k in medical treatment - checkride then fired, instant 500k savings for the owner. Maybe Tater was never a check airman who was told to takeoff with a 15 kt crosswind at night while it was snowing, off of a slippery and contaminated runway. Maybe Teter never got the call from a strange number only to find it was someone from the company calling on a private line so it would not be recorded telling him to change something in the logbook from a couple of days ago.
At Gojet it was not really who you were, how good you were, or what you did. It was more of a question of what circumstances you ended up in by chance. There is always a Gojet out there and it is always best to avoid it.

No he wasn't lucky you f head he did his time upgraded and networked and got hired like many out of G7. You have a personal issue that is leaving you in the dust still at a regional dogging other regionals. I have many current friends and past friends that are at all majors that have flown at G7. One day you will relize that nobody cares what regional you flew at!!!!

GoJet Airlines - The Real Deal
I don't think I'm the one with the problem. Like I said, Taters was one of the lucky ones who made it through unharmed. There are many that didn't. There is definately no shortage of people who have told of their experiences there. You believe it is ok for G7 to pull the bonus away from these people just before class started?
Not saying it's okay, but I'll take up the argument.
It's obviously within the company's legal right and ability to do so. Otherwise it wouldn't have happened. I'm not so jaded as to think they they intended to trap pilots in that way either. It just stinks of management and accountant types answering to the higher ups and not being able to fulfill their promises.
And THAT right there should be all anyone needs to know. From an outsider's perspective looking in, GoJet appears to be spinning out of control.
I'll be first to admit that I don't know most of what's going on there, but from the outside it doesn't look good. I hope for everyone involved it's a temporary funk and things improve there. Good Luck! lots of great guys and gals flying over there.

and so were multiple other pilots that moved on from GoJet with no issues whatsoever.
working at gojet has never and will never hinder anybody's ability to move on. recruiters don't see 'gojet' on a resume and throw it in the trash.
stay off the radar and you'll be fine, as is the story with most regionals.

Here's an item to consider about GoJet.
Two days before arriving at my new hire class, I and the rest of class got a call from an HR person telling us that they (GoJet) had decided to NOT pay the sign-on bonus that we had been promised. For me, with previous 121 experience, that was to be $10,000. A few weeks later, Trans States Holdings (that owns GoJet) started giving Trans States a bonus - an unapologetic slap in our face. Now, GoJet is giving a new hire bonus again.
They will demand total honesty all the while lying to your face without blinking and expect you to just take it.
And this is only the beginning of the story...there is way more to tell about this little smear of the afterbirth of aviation that GoJet happens to be.

Perhaps someone who is looking for a job might give Gojet a call and ask them how that all works?
Gojet is desperate for pilots like everyone else. Perhaps they only need pilots for a short period of time so they don't care about their reputation as long as they get some pilots for the short term? I know a lot of pilots who have been in class as new hires when the airline they just started with went under, Aloha, Braniff 2, Eastern, A-Star. Hopefully not another.
Can that angry guy who always sticks up for Gojet please explain all of this to us?

So one of my friends was just terminated at GoJets, they made sure to destroy his Pria so he would have to find a new career. Created fake training events to say he failed five or six times. If you go to this company, you are potentially comitting career suicide.
