Those PIC skills are in full effect.

I am rather Lucky both my parent are MDs and I was a paramedic in college, but we don’t claim to be expert in anything... Way too much liability
Crm and my logbook has nothing to do with a virus and how I or others live our daily lives.

Claimed to be an expert? News to me. I claimed that the experts said we're opening up parts of the country that don't need to be locked down. Are your parents experts in viruses or something?

Or what we all could do is stop feeding the troll who now has an absurd amount of time to sit at home and ingest all that fox news spoon feeds them due to this shutdown and epidemic.

What we all can agree upon is that this whole situation sucks for everyone involved and hopefully things will get better sooner than it gets worse.

Keep safe out there everyone.

I just happen to have really good schedules post ZW at my new employer. Gives me time to irritate some of you CNN types.

Oh, so you’re at the bottom of the list somewhere. Makes sense you’re willing to sacrifice grandma then.

It's comical to watch you assume so much constantly. It's almost like you don't know what you're talking about. You guys have 90% of your flying cut, reduced pay, Kirby saying 50 seaters are gone, furloughs surely coming, but you're upset about reopening parts of the economy. The kid part of your username is probably accurate. It's a lot easier to take care of our grandparents, parents, and children with a job. Unless you enjoy poverty for some odd reason.

I am nervous about reopening the economy precisely because our flying is so cut. If you are wrong here, and the virus rebounds, then consumer confidence will be nothing for months as people are scared fly and governments shut down again.

The economy will not rebound without a broad based confidence in public health. If you are wrong, and I fear you are, then that confidence will be stripped and we will fall harder than ever without a proper plan in place for returning to business.

I think we're looking at 2 to 3 years for a full recovery. Sadly many pilots will be hurting. I went through it in 08 and it wasn't fun. I was lucky to escape airlines when I did and have one of the few rare safe flying jobs out there. Consumer confidence will be low for some time, especially in areas most effected by the virus (NYC and other densely populated areas). The approach that's been announced to slowly reopen parts of the economy with the understanding it may need to be adjusted is the best approach. It's a big country, a flexibility is required. I can keep my filthy hands off my face and avoid sardine packed venues to help circumvent another great depression.

I think the only trolls are the ones crying about fox news as wee have seen continuously on this topic.

Sir the facts are thus: it is worse than the flu even with intervention. We do not want to stay isolated forever, only as long as makes sense for health and safety. The goal is not no deaths, the goal is a reasonable number of deaths and the main reason we are in that position is because of social distancing.

I rest my case. I need a drink.
Need studies coming out daily shows that more and more people have been infected by it and didn't know they even had it. This lowers the death rate sufficiently to say it's not as deadly as we thought.

Yes and that's good news, hopefully every day we learn more and can adjust course accordingly. Caution though should be taken when reading individual studies.
