Any idea if we keep flight benefits during furlough? I'm assuming no, but I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.

It's up to United unfortunately (so it really doesn't matter what is in your contract) and the company doesn't have much leverage to make them do it. Hopefully they will but they are also going to have their own furloughs to deal with so who knows.

Not completely accurate. You might not be able to fly for “free” on united during furlough but air wisconsin has its own zed agreements with multiple airlines. Not sure how the furlough status applies to that. Maybe call the travel department and ask instead of waiting for an potentially inaccurate response on a forum.

No flight bennies , no Kcm, no cass privileges. If I’m not mistaken you have to turn in all company property including Badge . Or atleast that’s what they did at one Co I was at for a short time years ago.

Unfortunately another area overlooked from section 23 of the contract. No one knows and there’s no enforcement of anything because nothing is in writing.

They can always try to jr assign flying. If you fly it or not is up to the individual. My statement was that no one should ADD open time while people are out of a job.

Yes. But there are some disadvantages to the company that might make them consider bringing back pilots if they're junior manning too much. At least one would hope.

They are going to take your badge because the TSA doesn't let inactive pilots have crew credentials. That isn't really the company trying to be jerks. KCM and CASS of course go with the crew badge and active status.

Read what that says about ZED agreements. United is your only hope because you need their computer even to non-rev on your own equipment. Hopefully they are kind enough to throw the huge numbers of furloughs a bone but time will tell.
