Ok, Chicken Little. I'm not sure why you care about ZW if you don't work there, but I'm sure you, as a super secret insider with the crystal decoder ring, have given everyone the real scoop. Moving Forward
So going into 2021, after seeing Mesa’s report that all their 700’s are going to G7, if one reads between the lines that tells me we are NOT getting any new planes / type soon. As G7 expands, just looking at JAN bids our ORD footprint is decreasing, which for me at least is cause for concern.
To recap, Mesa’s getting more jets, GoJet is getting more jets, our flying at what was our biggest hub is down, and no recalls planned...anyone else concerned yet?

That’s a pretty big distinction right now.
I don’t have a crystal ball but is doesn’t look good for G7 if they had to sell their remaining 700/550 frames to Skywest just to lease them from Skywest in order to have the cash just to operate for another few months.
Do they own any airframes anymore or are they all OO/UA owned now?
I’m still under the impression AW is being queued up for a G7 collapse.

Yes it's a wash. Actually the draw down on the 700 is coming FASTER than the 175's are coming on board so it's temporarily a net negative. It'll be April or May before all 20 are on board, and the last 700 flies in February.

Pangolin can probably confirm, but they’re not getting MORE. For each 175 coming on property, a 700 is being removed. It’s a wash.
That’s a pretty big distinction right now.
I don’t have a crystal ball but is doesn’t look good for G7 if they had to sell their remaining 700/550 frames to Skywest just to lease them from Skywest in order to have the cash just to operate for another few months.

Yeah I think before it’s all over Air Wisco will be put down. It seems to me UA’s using ZW as a backup for both the leased 700’s and potential quick return to 2019 pax loads. Both are extremely unlikely.
I made a statement months ago in this thread that I thought this airline would find a way to survive. I believe with what I’ve read recently I was wrong.
Get the resume updated and looked over, you should already be applying everywhere. Some compass guys saw the writing and made the move before the rest got sent to the street. I know breeze airlines and Atlas is currently hiring.

Why would the 550 necessarily go to one company over another if G7 were to fail? Couldn’t they just as easily go to Mesa or SkyWest as they could go to Air Wisconsin? I’m not wishing harm to employees at any company, but in an industry where the legacies seem to be consolidating their regional feed, why would they keep it spread out rather than further consolidate it? Couldn’t we expect that equipment to be open for bidding? Why would United shift those assets to Air Wisconsin if Mesa for example were to do the job for less and allow further consolidation?
AW and GJ both have the infrastructure. UA told Mesa they like single fleet airlines. I could see AW getting them or perhaps even some of them. Mesa does not care where they go - but they are not going to operate them. Something drastic would have to happen for that to even be a possibility at this point.
