You mean the 2008 recession?

Obama was in office 2009-2017.

I know dates are hard but they’re important for these types of discussions.

I know, it's hard living with Liberal Amnesia.

Let's spend $787 Billion on money and give it to special interest extreme left wing democratic organizations and invest in companies like Solyndra.

What you can't defend is the parking of RJ's in the desert due to Obama's policies, so you keep diverting the discussion. Spoken like a true liberal.

In 2009, the California-based green energy solar panel manufacturer Solyndra received a $535 million loan. The stimulus-funded loan, which was originally applied for in 2006 under the Bush Administration, was guaranteed by the Department of Energy.

2. While visiting Solyndra in May of 2010, President Barack Obama claimed Solyndra was “leading the way toward a brighter and more prosperous future.”

If White House officials handled taxpayer dollars irresponsibly for the sake of promoting Obama's signature piece of legislation at the time, it would constitute a potential ethical lapse that resonates with criticisms against the stimulus and ballooning deficits."

"Now here we are, $535 billion in wasted taxpayer dollars later, and it seems that the administration is intent on going full speed ahead. In fact, the president recently said in an interview that the Solyndra deal was 'a good bet.' Talk about a disconnect."

You truly are a miserable person.

Obama inherited the mess that Bush Jr. left, much like Biden is going to have to pick up 45’s* pieces.

*impeached, likely twice.

Did you even read your own sources?

The Great Recession began well before 2008. The first signs came in 2006 when housing prices began falling. By August 2007, the Federal Reserve responded to the subprime mortgage crisis by adding $24 billion in liquidity to the banking system.1 By September 2008, Congress approved a $700 billion bank bailout, now known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program. By February 2009, Obama proposed the $787 billion economic stimulus package, which helped avert a global depression.

TLDR; the recession was caused by pre Obama policy and likely salvaged from turning into a depression by Obama policy.

I appreciate your pearl clutching over 535 million which is roughly .0001% of the 2019 federal budget.

I recall paying more than $4 per gallon for MOGAS around 2013, right in the middle of his tenure. Diesel was even higher. Lot of pressure on people to drive smaller vehicles. There was a lot of room for it to fall.
