Look at all the captains lining up to go to United over the next couple months. For those who say the Aviate program only serves to staff the regionals...well somebody better tell United that before they take every last pilot from this place. Excellent movement for Aviate participants! Though, who knows how much flying we'll have come springtime with those pilots gone.

With just over a year left on the contract with United and rising fuel prices, how much life is left in the 200’s? United is scheduled to take delivery of 117 max and NEO aircraft by the end of 2023 and is focusing on increasing gauge and reducing the 50 seat fleet. Is that affecting the ability to attract new hires or are classes full? Not trying to stir the pot, I’m actually curious.

Are the classes filling, or are people trying to go elsewhere?

Don’t think so getting through Aviate interviews would be much of an issue with that record. I have a friend who was in my class at AirWis and he failed every checkride once (private to CFI) and he was able to get in the Aviate program. Although he failed his training at AirWis so i’m not sure what’s going to happen now.
