that’s actually pretty smart on their part. Getting and keeping captains is an issue. If an FO wants a pay raise, he has to upgrade.

Smart? Really? It’s a $20 raise to upgrade and be forced to commute to the most junior domicile and sit short call reserve for minimum guarantee pay. You would make less as a Captain not being able to break guarantee pay with a terrible QOL.

They just need to hire sucker FO’s for a few months to fill their obligations before the contract ends.

The WO's pay might be more but was their MX hanger previously used as the Packers practice facility? There's more to a career decision besides dollar signs....

Everyone mentioning AA W/Os are only looking at the pay rates. Pilots at zw can easily credit 150-250 hours of pay and still get 10 days off. At the AA regionals you will get 75 hours and 11 days off. 90x75=6750 vs 60x150=9000. Every single month with the exception of Covid I credited well over 120 hours a month.

AA WO all get a minimum of 12 days off and have a contract to keep flying after Feb 2023.

I’m at PSA and easily credit 100+ a month. Easily can credit 150 when there’s holidays and still get 11 days off a month. I should credit 170 this month with flying over vacation and holiday pay, and still have 12 days off. Once I hit 750 hours I get another $50 raise.

Envoy and Piedmont are regular offered 300% premium trips to pick up too… that’s insane. Envoy offered 300% for any open time trips picked up in July… $300/hour as a FO? No brainer

Hey my brethren WO pilot.... while what you are saying is true, and as hard as it is to not reply to this false info they were posting, I myself am just reading and not posting replies to said info. People know what we're making. Anything beyond that makes us sound like braggarts. We all know this industry can change on a whim, and I don't want to be on the wrong side of that change. I guess that's why I'm taking a more humble approach to our pay, and really not saying anything about it to anybody but my wife.

I'm just thankful to be where I'm at in this era of the industry.
