idk, no clue. And just come to a WO as a DEC or experienced hire and get the bonuses. Vast majority of us have huge debt to pay off which effects QOL. So no brainer, go get paid for the same job and pay off loans sooner.

Envoy and Piedmont are regular offered 300% premium trips to pick up too… that’s insane. Envoy offered 300% for any open time trips picked up in July… $300/hour as a FO? No brainer
how will that work when you get PBS 🤣

Atleast their company keeps them informed on the future of the company and what their plans are . PBS or no PBS they will be flying past February. At ZW, you don’t know any of that .You May end up on the bottom of the seniority list at Psa before it’s all said and done .

PBS won’t be here for another 12 months… so who cares, I’m gone by then.

You guys are in a tough place. UA clearly isn’t going to pony up. AA doesn’t start for months. So this money will be all internal. How much can they afford?

Well, they loaned US Airways $125 million in 2005. They loaned them another $35 million in 2008.

They have internal money for it if they want to continue to staff the airline.

2005?? 2008?? WTF
That was a different time , Awac was a different airline back then . Years ago they could pretty much set their own rates on the FFD program and rake in the cash .Everyone wanted them and their product .
Fast forward to 2017. Everyone knows the contract with UA wasn’t the greatest and the one with AA probably isn’t far behind . They have operated on a shoe string budget since then .
No one is beating their door down for the old , hot, clapped out deuces .
Maybe they will surprise everyone and blow Mesa out if the water with incredible rates . Highly unlikely, but we will see.
Awacs management is dilusional about the company and it’s current state . They seem to think it’s still the Awac from 2005 and 2008 , where they are doing you a favor to allow you to work at such a prestigious airline .You should be happy to work there so they don’t need to go over and above with great pay rates .

It’s not a different ownership group. They have the ability to pay for better than Mesa (I cannot believe I’m typing that) rates if they want to. Which is the key question. If the math says it’s better to let the airline wither away into nothing, they will let it.

If they think it’s going to make money to pay up, they will.

When a 8 year captain makes less than a first year FO at Mesa, you’ve got an issue.
