This is not just a recent development. Experienced folks can have issues unrelated to flying that prevent successful completion. It probably has more to do with attitude, willingness, difficulty with giving up old habits than it really does with flying ability.

I think the lower time pilots are probably easier to mold successfully.

I think there is also the very false impression that since it's a small plane it must be simpler with systems and easier to fly. This is most definitely not true.

Here's the ARW 2003 CBA; the pay scales aren't current (I haven't worked there in 3 years) but the language is in effect. Section 4 and Section 3.K. are of note with regards to newhire pay. Concentrate to get through training...but as is sometimes said, with your CBA "learn it live it love it".

Good luck!
Your right Boiler, my fault. Math and me don't work particularly well at 2 in the morning. Thanks for clearing it up though!!

No worries - I had similar questions coming up on 5 years ago when I was getting ready to start!

Hmmm, I guess 2400/40 + ATP doesn't stand a chance, eh?

Filling out the background check info online now. They ask for the DOT release form to be faxed. It's one of the forms we already filled out and gave to Janelle. Should I resubmit it?

Has the December class firmed up? Or is the next class still likely to be January?
