I swear, if Air Wisconsin doesn't say something soon I'm taking my football and going home!! Whatever, the game's always been the same. I came here 3 years ago because the pay and benefits were close to the best (if not the best) in the industry. Now they aren't. I knew this place may have a limited life span, and it looks like it does. We should all, always, be looking to get the hell out of a regional airline anyway- unless we are lifers. No one *****in on here is a lifer. So what's changed? For me- not a damn thing. I will move on to a better job when I can- same plan as always. Thankful to have a job, a paycheck, and 4 weeks off (thanks trip touching!) to explore Thailand and Japan.

How old are the owners getting?? Do you think they would want to spend the captial (millions.. 20-40) to even get a new plane on property and be liable for those planes for the next 16 years financially... My guess is no..

Second, we would have a For Sale sign hanging around all our necks if they wanted out. Running a business into the ground as opposed to divesting is not the kind of business stupidity they are known for.
3rd, I don't know if people just play dumb or ignore the past but this is not a new kind of situation for AWAC. They been here before and last time was even during an industry slump and they came out smelling like roses. They seem to have a playbook and like to stick to it.
Disclaimer: unlike all you experts, I have no clue what the f%#k I'm talking about because you can fill a book with what we all don't know about AWAC and its mysterious owners!

I don't think so. We have all heard this before but it don't make sense! For one, people don't stop liking money and wagers when they get old.

Just because things worked out in the past dosent mean it wil now. Its a different environment, their product offering isnt wanted or needed now (200's),and warm bodies to fill the seats arent readily available as in the past.
Things change, and it seems their business plan didnt.Thats not good.
If there was a future plan, they would definitely share it with everyone. The fact that they are silent, parking planes etc would be enough for me.

Regardless about what MAY or MAY NOT happen at AWAC, it would be prudent for every pilot on property that would like to continue their flying career to polish up the resume, update the logbook, and begin thinking about the next step in his or her career. Focusing energy on preparation will likely ignite a new fire in someone and will help divert negative energy into positive action. Hope for the best but prepare and plan for the worst.

We can't control what the company's future plans are, but we can control what kind of contract we negotiate/vote in for the pilot group. I'm more concerned about being given another sub-par contract to vote on. I don't want this moderator to push a garbage contract just so he can get paid.
I'm no lifer, but I want what's best for the future pilot group.

They don't care enough to share even a hint of what's going on here and continue to parade around arrogantly that everything's fine. 'We're not at that point' Come on. Business is business, but they like being the small town Wisconsin airline that looks after their employees, but alas, here we are. The best case is for people to make arrangements elsewhere, the writing is on the wall, they don't care about us.

Why would you want to continue working for an employer that dosent care enough for their employees to share with them the future plans for the company?

Everyone keeps saying 200's are done but Delta wants more online (Endeavor) long after supposedly wanting to banish them from the earth.

When does GoJets contract end? How about Trans States? How long does ExpressJet have left in its contract to fly 145s? Is there any flying already in place after those contracts are up? No? Ok, guess they are shutting down upon completion of their contracts then.
You people, we are contractors. The fact that our contracts expire at some point isn't evidence that our companies are going out of business. It's another day in the life. It sucks, but its business as usual. If you think you can actually predict what will or won't happen you are an immature fool. Any guessing of this sort is pure speculation. You want to speculate, go try your hand at the stock market. You'll probably lose and learn a tangible lesson in speculation.
It sucks that we still haven't heard anything, but absence of an announcement isn't evidence of anything. Don't try to read too much into everyday things going on in search of something to hold on to or base a decision off of. You'll drive yourself nuts, and probably be wrong.
