I know that. I know the announcement you're referring to, and you're making a lot of deductions based on a micodium of information.

You are proving my point. Some of you speak as though you have a seat at the executives table. You don't. You get tiny crumbs of information here and there, and think it's enough to make a determination about the future. If you think the extension clause is as simple as you are making it, or that from CDs email you have all the relevant information, you have your head up your a$$.

Same

I have my plan B and C ready if I need it. Personally, I think Air Wisconsin will be around for at least another half decade, but I can't afford to be out of a job and I don't have the will-power to be downgraded to reserve if AWAC shrinks.

I'd be chuffed if we stayed, but I'm prepared to leave.

Let's be honest... all of us are applying to Jet Blue, Spirit, Allegiant, frontier, etc. I may be alone in not getting any calls, but I strongly doubt it. As such, I'll hang on here through the winter in hope of company news or a job offer... In my mind, something is bound to happen on the AWAC side of things, but if it doesn't, Commutair will still be there in January. Despite the rampant **** talking, I'm content to roll with the status quo until I'm sure the bell has rung. As another self-perceived non-lifer, I still naively choose to keep the faith. After the Delta debacle I can't blame the company for keeping things quiet.

Well I mean honestly, unless you're mangement or have any knowledge of the future, you have your head up your a$$ if you think everything's going to magically be ok in the future. Most ZW pilots feel the uncertainty and are trying to protect their futures, myself included.

I can be a captain at commutair by Xmas. It's not a bad idea when in looking 4+years here

No argument about that. I think I'm just one of those clinging to the hope that something will happen for lack of better options/circumstances.

Why? Look at what's happening... AA is setting PDT up to do the exact same flying your doing now in and out of the same places you're flying in and out of. Delta may be bring more 200s out of the desert for Endeavor. United wants to drastically reduce its 50-seat lift over the next couple years. If you aren't already I'd be applying at all the LCCs and everywhere else you meet the minimums for. Maybe AWAC continues on, maybe it doesn't. Either way you look at it though, you will have better options someplace else. Parking airplanes. Inability to hire new FOs. I'm not bashing, I have friends flying there and wish them the best. But why keep hanging on if everything is pointing to the ship sinking?

Does anyone know of a way to post a picture from your phone to a post here?

I received two very very interesting pictures last night from another employee. It is of a
-900 in Eagle colors. The aircraft still has a Canadian C number (it appears this A/C is just out of the factory) and, of most importance, by the front door - Operated by Air Wisconsin.

The second photo is a close up of the Operated by AWAC. I gotta say, at face value, these appear to be very very legit.

Keep in mind that there was a Bombardier PR for 10 brand new -900s awhile back to an "Undisclosed" buyer.

Finally, I think the timing is interesting to work with all groups on a new contract. The pilots have been meeting monthly. Now all of a sudden they want a new deal with the FAs. Why would that be after a long long time not caring. I also know there was a special meeting with the FA check airmen (or whatever their title would be) this past month.

I'll try and find a way to post this on here.

Not trolling. Did anyone else see the pictures of the 900s with Awac on the logo?
