Every base is junior. The bases are awarded about halfway through the entire training process so if you didn't like what you got initially, wait for the next vacancy bid (about monthly) and you'd probably get it before training is even completed.

Regarding the initial assignment, might I have the choice of where to go, or is it given to me?
Another question: Since I am military, all of my flying (other than the 62.1 hours that I flew for my PPL) has been recorded at the HARM. If I were to check out my HARM file, burn a copy of my form 8 and bring it with me to the interview, would that be a sufficient logbook review?

I just printed the summary sheet from ARMS. Don't need a Form 8. As to bases, you bid in ground school but the majority of each class has been getting PHL. At current rate, you should be awarded wherever you wanna go by the time you finish sims.

Agreed. you will likely get whatever base you want before SIM is completed.
