My observation from the first vote is that people voted more based on emotion than logic, and didn't really trust what their elected reps and SME advisors were telling them. I'd say ALPA would almost be better off sending psychologists and grief counselors to the roadshows.
I'm just pointing out that in hindsight perhaps the MEC and NC guys were right to have supported the 2015 TA. They said repeatedly that if the TA got voted down that a new one would likely not be reached for at least 18 months, which was the early-opener from that two year duration TA. So in other words, the group could have been enjoying the QOL benefits of the TA (although they were fairly modest for line holders) for the last 2.5 years and re-started negotiating again a full year ago with those gains locked in.

I voted no because I realized that we could do better .

The pilot group understood that during the voting process. Very minimal gains would have been had while paying more for healthcare. There's a reason it was voted down and it wasn't simply emotion. It was garbage after 5 years of negotiations.
If it were ratified then we would be starting another decade of negotiations right now. Instead we have the leverage we had then if not even stronger now.

I wasn't looking for the moon on the last TA, but seriously as a captain it offered me 0 anything. And if I get nothing out of a TA, then why would I vote yes? There has to be something that makes me want it. Since then we've seen some substantial increases in regional pay. Meanwhile we are struggling to staff and cancelling flights due to staffing. Maybe the company and mec tosses us another proposal worth diddly and we vote it down, or they wake up and get with the times (record profits) and pay us a substantial amount of $$ to get people here and to stick around more than a few months before they say F all these junior mans and go to endeavor. I do like the double pay for getting hosed and having it in open time has pocketed me some cash too. I'd love to help the company get new guys by raising 1st year pay and making it rain bonuses, but there's this whole pilot group thing that needs to be addressed in the form of pay before I'm a yes vote to anything. If I read a TA and it says status quo plus 1 percent or some other insulting value, the next coffee and conversion is going to be ugly. I hope that's not the case.

There is no question that it was a very disappointing TA and woefully short of what we deserved, but that doesn't mean it was concessionary, nor does it mean that ratifying it would have been a mistake. The fact is that it matters not one bit how much bargaining power you think you have, it only matters how much bargaining power the company thinks you have. And given the 2.5 years it has taken to get TA2, they obviously have a very different opinion.
1. A ten cent raise in per diem from 1.60 at the time to 1.70 would not have offset the increased cost of our insurance.
2. Per diem is not for covering healthcare expenses, its for covering meals on the road.
3. They raised per diem anyway.
So yes it was concessionary.

Everyone has their own opinion, however the masses spoke with the last TA and it was a NO. If this one is just another spin off from the first with no major gains, it will hopefully also be a NO.
