Anyone else see all the flights being given to other airlines? Can't imagine United is very happy with ZW. But by all means, lets continue like everything is fine, there's no staffing issue, and money isn't the issue. The ship is sinking again. Beware.

Where do you see our flying being given away? Publicly available?

Look at some routes today
ORD-GSO
1:55pm, ZW flight 3915 changed to 1346 by OO.
ORD-LNK
8:57am, ZW flight 4862 changed to 1345 by OO.
7:30pm, ZW flight 4842 changed to 1347 by OO.
They're filling in slowly. June our numbers or departures are half out of IAD.
We are unable to fulfill our flying with United. How is that going to go over?

I can confirm it as well. The other day I had a typical long multi-leg scheduled day and I usually use the flight status option on the UAL app to track my flights to know about delays ahead of time to save leaving the hotel/home any earlier than needed. The night prior I received notice that all of my flights had canceled. On a forecasted blue sky day. So I went in to the app and saw that UA added back the same flight numbers and city pairs but operated by another UAX carrier. So the flights went just not on us. Minutes later Crew Scheduling called with a reroute for me. Spoke with another CA and FO that next day that have had this happen too. Seems like it’s a very recent thing. Can UAX carriers “trade/add/drop” with each other similar to us?

Look at UA3962 MSN to ORD on May 2nd. Cx by us but then a flight was flown as UA 3205 by Expressjet - with the same exact STD. If you go to the app and search these two flights you will see what these carrier changes look like on the public facing platforms. This is what mine looked like the other day as well.
Let’s do some math. We use to have 850 pilots and 70 a/c. That’s 12 pilots per a/c. We now have about 550 and at the same ratio that is staffing for just 45 a/c. CommutAir has 300 pilots and 25 a/c and that is also 12 pilots per a/c. So assuming 12 is in the ballpark as the right number, we are only staffed for 45 a/c. If it’s 11 then we maybe have enough for 50.
