I know there's always risks with programs like this, mainly the time it will take to get a class date. Sometimes getting there at all ofcourse.
But that's disappointing news about doing the interview after IOE for C5 atleast.
I think it would only be worth it if the CPP, the hogan and the interview was done before you start your first day of class. Hopefully this is how the Airwhiskey one will be done.

I was told during the interview that the 7/24 class was very limited due to EAA so that matches up.

I haven't read anything in the CPP regarding new-hires and how they will be integrated. Right now pilots on property have a chance to enroll and the process with UAL will begin in the fall/winter. So far, the interviews at AWAC are business-as-usual as far as I know. Right now most new-hires wouldn't be eligible for the program so perhaps you can only sign up after you meet the eligibility requirements.
