It’s unfortunate that a lot of our pay comes in a form that is hard to quantify, but the health insurance, 401k contributions, vacation rules, etc. do mean something.
Are you able to partake in said 200% pay goodness on a day which you were scheduled to work? In limited quantities, yes; picking up an extra leg in the morning if you had an afternoon show, maybe. But otherwise, 200% is a day which you were not scheduled to work, so you have now traded time off (which for those of us who like are families is time with them) for 200%. The value position is yours to make, but you can't have both.

Then you're losing some of your potential pay, or you're working on your day in lieu at double time. I'm not just talking about junior mans either. You can't pick up critical stuff all the time and be at home.

Exactly. You're either working more or at home more. I'd rather fly 85 hours of credit with 11 days off at $50 an hour than 115 with 9 days off at $35.

Management trolls are trying hard to sell this place as something it once was 10 years ago. It has taken a nose dive the last few years due to a weak union and horrible mgmt team. Moral is the worst in the industry here. Come be a part of the worst UA express performer!

I’d rather just not work 6-1 and make more at endeavor. But yeah got it. Management needs to come in here to tell 22 year olds how the 2002 reputation is alive and well.

My last regional didn’t have duty rig or trip rig. I haven’t been JMed or done any OT yet.

This is great logic if don’t want to work and get out of regional life. Some people want to get their hours and move on. If those people were to wait for an edv class date, finish training, sit on reserve and finaly get a line as a fo it would be close to a 1.5 years from now. If they go to zw they will be upgrading to captain and one step to getting hired at a major.
