I know it's a hot issue - but they seemed very confident the contract with USAir/AA will be extended past 2015.

The question was asked about the fleet and there was no mention of any upcoming change from the crj200 fleet.

I'm sure they are confident, they (AA) are going to need someone to bridge the gap until the other regionals are lined up to take the current AWAC flying. It may be extended little by little but I doubt it will be for many more years.

Pretty sure Parker was pleased with awac when they bought them.

If you don't know that I have no idea where you have been for the last few years. It's no secret that for the fee that US/AA is paying them the service has not been up to the standards set.

They basically bought their flying with the money they lent US, as UA had kicked them to the curb, so they (US) really had no choice but to agree on some of the things on the current FFD contract, now that the contract is up and their money is not needed for survival its going to be a lot different. Doug holds the upper hand now.

Unless you're on the board and behind the closed doors, you really have no clue. It's just as likely psa can't staff what they were awarded and get it stripped away and given to awac who can staff. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

Looking at your past post you seem to have a thing for AWAC, did they turn you away or something? You sound like Parker's boy. With all the inside knowledge you have you should know AWAC's owners pretty well too...

We already picked up some extra flying. It's really not that hard to imagine given the lack of green pilots and how poorly psa pays. 500 guys plus attrition is a lot to take on in the upcoming environment. We're 200 guys fat for a reason.
