I work at AWAC and we're hiring 125ish before year's end from what I've been told. Seems awfully high compared to attrition rates. I hear rumors, both good and bad, but at the end of the day whatever happens will happen. Ideally, we'll be able to continue with a respectable contract like what's in place now.

I checked around...your characterizations of AWAC's performance is all wet...especially when it comes to fuel performance. Doug may not like the deal he signed in 2005 but AWAC is saving AAG loads of money on fuel through it's SET program. The other feeders are lagging far behind.

Actually we all don't know this. I'm sure no mainline likes the FFD carriers but they also don't like owning their own express operations.

Crj900LR, billyho, and idlethrust. While I can respect your opinions, which is exactly what they are! It just seems to me you guys have a personal vendetta against AWAC. Why are you happy about another airline losing work especially one that has a long standing tradition of providing great pay and solid work rules for regional pilots. Whatever is going to happen will happen. But just know that the proud folk at AWAC will not cave to concessions! I know something like that is way over your heads.

They don't like owning their own express operations? Here's a question for you hopper of FOD. Do you think Doug is happier with AWAC's SET fuel savings or the 4yr FO pay cap and 12 year CA pay cap that he has at his wholly owned express operations? AWAC is lagging far behind there.

We'd probably vote in the 4 and 12 thing but the pay would need to be 50 and 100 and offer a real flow. Psa is an odd group with backwards logic. You guys would rather make less money and have worse work rules when everyone else votes down these concessions during a time of profit. The shiny jet is strong in that group.
