Knowing AS management, she'll get a 7 figure settlement and an "medical" retirement which will be 1/2 of the amount she'd be earning as a Captain when she would be Age 65.

She'll then be free to go to another airline or whatever field (Politics? Women's Rights?) she wants to. Remember, her PRIA won't mention a thing about this event.

I know at least one airline that would hire her in a second even knowing about this event.

You're talking out your A__. Medical retirements are based on half your previous year, not what she would make as a captain.

A Medical retirement would preclude her from working as a pilot anywhere else.

She has gone very public. A simple Google search would return all the details.

I have a pack of retired racing Greyhounds and former coyote hunters. They are prone to injuries and rather than run to the vet every other week I’ve got a cabinet full of meds that would drop a human in a matter of minutes. I’ve got syringes, IV bags for fluids, antiseptics, antibiotics, a suture kit, medical staple gun, sedatives, anti-anxiety meds, and controlled substances approved for veterinary use. All under the radar and without a paper trail of me having them. I’ve been doing adoption work for a decade and because of that I have access to stuff that would require a script. I’m a standup guy with no nefarious intent but this stuff is pretty easy to come by for those of ill-will. Lots of veterinary meds go “missing” all the time.

If you are having sex with a party that is unable to affirmatively consent due to intoxication, you are a rapist. If consent is withdrawn at any time and you do not, you are a rapist. Your own intoxication is no defense. BLUF: If you aren't 100% positive you have consent, you don't have consent. (Or you've forgotten the safe word)

Very true, but her story has 3+ hours missing in it from when she had the drugged wine, to before she was in the Captain's room.

What time was she awoken? how long did she stay in the CA's room after she woke up? Did she make the call to ALPA from the CA's room? I would think these details would be important to include in the court filing, yet they are absent. However her lawyers deemed in important to include things like: "There was not real food in the concierge's lounge, there were peanuts and vegetables. The flight attendants were eating peanuts and vegetables", "They were on barstools, and her feet were on the round edge"

I hope this thing goes to trial and the truth comes out.
Pleadings are plain language statements and are not required to provide great detail. That's what discovery is for during the litigation process. You won't see the discovery motions or any motions in limine. You might see the motion and response for summary judgement that AK is obligated to file. It will be denied if there is any question of fact, which there already is. After losing summary judgement, AK will deal. A trial is not likely, but it could happen.

I guess you missed the quotes around medical. I'm sure any lawyer worth his salt could multiply your guarantee by your current Captain rate (he would argue with normal progression she would upgrade) and divide by two. Write that number into the settlement as a monthly payout and you have a "medical" retirement.

Get it? See how those quote marks work?

AFAIK you're still paying JP.
