Default Bid 2018-12

For those of you considering upgrade, this bid is AS managements insurance from the SLI. They are stacking this event prior to the SLI to prevent what could be significant training costs. There is a very real chance that this is the majority, if not all, of 737 upgrades for the next 12 mos. I hope this is not true but on paper this is the most likely outcome. If you are considering the jump I feel this information should be made clear to you. Hopefully better news will be on the horizon. Plan for the worst and you will not be disappointed.

Seniority list integration. We should have the arbitrated list by mid October.

Interesting.... well what are the chances of an FO switching from Airbus to Boeing or vice versa after SLI?

Nobody knows. This place is going downhill quick. The latest ALPA video from both MEC's gave some insight on how mismanaged Alaska has become...

There most likely will... A few upgrades maybe, no upgrades probably. The bid will have FO positions and any 320 FO, based on their seniority, will be able to bid any 737 position.

Does the Boeing side do additional bids before each new hire class?

No. You will get first pick of any and all open positions and the left overs go to new hire classes based on company need.
