That’s a big change from what APC is showing which was most junior Capt being a Feb 2015 hire or 4 years 3 months.

What caused your upgrade time to drop by half?

E190. Doesn’t really count. Basically reserve RJ captain.

True that on RJ perma-reserve...but I don't know of any regionals DBA any legacies paying $200/hr to push an RJ up and down the coast. I'm sure all of our legacy counterparts would love to have the Ejets their companies own on property paying ~$200/hr. But obviously there's a reason most guys would rather stay in the right seat of the 320.

My point is that by that logic the 717 and C-Series/A-220 "don't count" either.

They do. I was referring to the other guy's post because I think like you I imagine, they most certainly count. I was more or less trying to point out there's a little bit of stigma of having "RJ" in the ERJ-190 type rating. But I imagine the TRUE reason for the 190 Captain going so junior is the flying is just riddled with EDTC's, GDP's and other undesirable things about 4 leg-a-day NE corridor flying..Most guys would fly a 172 if the pay and schedule were awesome enough.

4th year pay:
$195 190CA
$151 320FO

190CA reserve: $195x75=$14,625, on reserve at the bottom of the list, with a bad schedule, 13/14 off, 3-4 leg days

320FO 50% line: $151x85=$12,835, with 15-17 days off, good schedule, 1-2 leg days

Throw in a prem trip once a month and the 320FO can make as much as (or close to) a reserve 190 CA with a better QOL.

That said, I bet 190CA will continue seeing a lot of movement, especially with 25-28 321NEO deliveries in the next 18 months, as well as staffing the 220 beginning, both of which will likely absorb many of the mid-senior 190CAs. So the 3-5 year guys may not be perma reserve captains on the 190. Next couple years should be interesting with 3 fleets.

As a former NYC based pilot, I would love those.

Looks like LGB CA just dropped to 8 years, not great, but a lot better than 13 years.

Where are you getting your info? I think it's still above 12 years.
