Anyway. Back on topic: I’m a pretty clueless guy and don’t know much about the airline industry but I have been wondering about one thing lately:
If our operation is melting down due to lack of support staff, mainly rampers. Wouldn’t it help to put more mainline aircraft in service and reduce the number of flights but fly the same number of passengers?
I’m not terribly good at math but one 737-800 could fly the same number of passengers as 2 E-175s. Wouldn’t that reduce our ramp staffing issue?

Try it. You might like it….Awkward at first but gets easier the longer you do it. It becomes a habit. Like drinking whiskey. So many whiskeys, so many sections, so many interpretations, so many grievances….And our contract really has not changed much in my time as sad as that is….So nothing new to learn…I have been fooled , suckered and lied to by the Anglers and their goofy henchmen in flight ops but that just helped with the learning process….I intend no arrogance by my statements and apologize if it came off that way. No negotiating committee, no LEC and no MEC has ever failed us but 100% of the time we have failed them…..Some of us do it all the time on every section and some of us just cherry pick the sections we will turn a blind eye to. The Anglers track our every move, they data mine every interaction between them and us and know exactly what weight we put on each sentence of our CBA…
