Wishing for mergers is like stabbing your thigh with an ice pick. Especially down at this level. Where neither merging partner brings anything. Yay. Getting blended into just another domestic narrow body super-regional….Which is what JetBlue,Alaska,Spirit,Frontier are. Run by D1pS4its….Every day is a new irop. Every day is some new clever gimmick. No thanks…There is a reason that real airlines don’t merge with the gimmicky super-regionals…they bring nothing. It may be fun to play with the girls from the trailer park(think code share/alliance) but you really don’t want to bring them home.

Respectfully, that's how it always is. These boards are fun to throw around ideas and pontificate. They are almost never accurate. Treat as such, as the saying goes, WE (pilots) are always last to know, and don't believe anything until you can see it at the Jetway in your company's colors. If someone does forecast something accurate, it's actually an anomaly, and will be pointed out by many. But they're fun, I usually use them as a time killer and catch up when commuting. Cheers!
