These hypotheticals are getting ridiculous. What if Kenmore Air buys Delta and goes to an all Turbo Otter fleet. That will probably mean Cape Air buys B6 and puts SW out of business because they can't compete in the small prop air service game?! What a bunch of drama queens.

Buying VX in 2016 was simply kicking the can down the road.

The "doing something" mentioned by RangeRover, is related to the current F9/NK, or NK/B6 merger efforts

that could threaten to affect the longterm viability.

I didn’t say I was leaving the stadium.

“Game over” is only drama if your reading of that means the company evaporates. I recognize there would be more game to be played…. but, it wouldn’t be same game played for the last 93 years. THAT game would be over.
