I'm kind of surprised that no one has done the math on the lack of growth that this email details. Accounting for the reductions of captains on the Airbus side, we have a total growth of 11 Captains for the next year. For the 7 guys who were downgraded from the effective May to effective October bid this may help. Since they could get their captain bid back effective November. As long as no one senior to them bids for a captain position of course.
Shocking that we even have applicants.
Little to no growth.
Contract work rules that are below our peers in every area(with one exception of long term disability which the company has proposed to completely GUT in their proposal).
No scope for regional flying.
Pay rates that even the unions proposal are now behind UAL.
It's embarrassing.

You would also expect a reduction in growth just prior to an anticipated or known merger. You want to achieve the best equity for your shareholders.

It still seems like an ambitious timeline goal. Hopefully they execute it well.

A buddy sent me UAL TA numbers… it was 324.74 1/1/24.
My point is our unions contract proposal doesn’t suck!
And yes over the last 6 mos our management has proved over and over again that they are incompetent.
