I’d agree, IF we were the only airline cutting block hours due to staffing (and not just because of pilots). Reality is, other airlines are doing the same. It’s a problem if it happens only to one airline. When a problem is happening at other airlines too, then it’s less company specific and easier to justify a longer term fix.

Southwest doesn’t have LC rsv. That’s huge.
Second, the sliver needs to die. SWA is same as us. RAP at 1100? Get a trip assigned day before that reports at 3pm. Sliver at 1100 still stands. You are still responsible at 1100 just in case something changed and now your 3pm trip is gone. And they want you at 1100 for something new.
No aggressive pickup on rsv at Southwest.
As I said, days off is the only good thing on reserve.
I’d like to see meaningful changes to reserves.
“You will too soon”
I was reserve on the Airbus CA my entire time. I have also been on reserve on the Boeing. I know reserve here, lived it for several years of it. And probably will again.

Shocking that we even have applicants.
Little to no growth.
Contract work rules that are below our peers in every area(with one exception of long term disability which the company has proposed to completely GUT in their proposal).
No scope for regional flying.
Pay rates that even the unions proposal are now behind UAL.
It's embarrassing.

This does seem to be part of the "transparent" plan. It's stated that we will hire 200-300 in a year. We only require 131 FO's and 11 Captains. It begs the question what costs more? Hiring up to 150 FO's a year only to see them leave? Or paying to create a workspace with minimal attrition that his capable of organic growth?
