One more data point from the newish ALPA seniority tool. When I checked today it shows 52 pilots live within 100 miles of ANC and commute to one of the other bases. That's both seats.

Hopefully helpful information for anyone with a CJO.

How many positions are there for each seat in ANC? I assume all those folks are bidding ANC but can’t hold it?

be nice if we had a tool that let us see how many people are bidding for a base so we dont have to control F the bid Trish puts out and count on our own. Any one know how to do something that’ll count for us in excel?

My guess is those are mostly FOs since the bottom of the CA list is pretty junior.

32 are FOs as per the first quoted post. Some of the commuters are captains that took upgrade in SEA and waiting for ANC, some got in on this bid. ANC is our smallest pilot base and takes the most seniority to hold.

Off the top of my head there are 150 CAs and 152 FOs. If I had to guess 3-5 FOs are getting in each bid.
