My sources are telling me that the next new hire class is slated for March 13th and the next one has been pushed back into July.

Would having an Alaska Flight Attendant as a reference be useful, considering Alaska's interview is all HR?

Yes, and see if that that person would write you a LOR.

Wynn, judging by your post history, you have been here what like 2 months? Meaning you are still in class? Just curious how you have seemingly broken the code on the entire Alaska interview process and know more about the company than I do after 5 years.

In such a competitive environment for pilot hiring it would only make sense that somebody interested would leverage any and all references/LOR that they could muster regardless of that person's position within the company. Standing out from the crowd is the goal with Alaska and having a more diverse group of recommenders is never a bad thing.

So you been here 5 years and you don't think that LOR is a good thing?

Well since he just went through the hiring process, he's probably more qualified to tell people how it works now than how it worked 5 years ago when you got hired and all the things you've forgotten or that have changed since then. I can't see a LOR or two being a bad thing for any airline.
